Arvada got a little bit larger at the most recent city council meeting, as the city annexed two parcels of land for the Canyon Pines development on the far west side of town.
The two parcels — previously part of unincorporated Jefferson County — were annexed into the city and rezoned at the Jan. 8 Arvada City Council meeting by a unanimous vote. One parcel is 1.2 acres while the other is 2.8 acres and includes the Debrouillarde Pump Station, which will deliver potable water to the area.
